Country Roots Has Lots Of New Dances

Hello and welcome to Country Roots sorry I haven't written a blog for a while I wasn't in class. But this week we lots of new dances and some very old dances, because we have a lot of new beginners started in the early class. some of the new members haven't danced anywhere before, so it was the old standards, to help them get into understanding the beat and tempo of the dances. Ok that's enough chat there's a lot to get through, so we will start as always with the beginner's and improver's class.

Who looks at YouTube for the walk-through's have a look at a walk-through that Margaret Gough did when the Beginner's class started one year ago. The video has been viewed nearly 8000 times. as yet I haven't looked at the rest.

The first Sweet Mary Lou this is to music the other is a walk-throughThese are the new dances we have done this week, Well Do Ya? this is a fun dance quick and lively I can see the taking off.Sweet Mary Lou we all know the song this one is by the overtones some people lie it and some hate, you choose?
Love Her For A while really nice music wait to see if the dance take off.

Hi Welcome To Country Roots And More New Dances

The new dance machine rolls on, I will list the new dances that the improver's have learnt as well as a dance for the more advanced members. One of the improver's new dances was White Rose ( yes I know it's easy for you and me) but not if you have never seen the dance before. This is still a dance I love to do along with Toes. As I have said many time before just because it's old doesn't mean it's past the sell by date.

Another dance they have done recently is Come Dance With Me a nice easy dance it should fit a lot of dances.

The advanced Class was taught Slip Away I think it's fair to say some people have struggled with, but it is a nice dance and when you are comfortable with the step you will enjoy the dance. Well that enough chat here are the dances for both classes.

An All American Country Show

Hello and welcome to Country Roots Line Dance Club. Well let's start with some of our members went to an American Country Show in Rhyl North Wales. UK. please see the picture below there were Tribute acts for all the top Country Western Stars both new and old.

We did two new dances this week Just Another Woman is an easy dance but quite nice, but some ladies don't like the lyrics but to me there just words? and Slamming Doors this is a Waltz with a 4-8timing the same as Girl Crush it's a nice dance but very directional

A Night Out On The Tiles

Some of the members of Country Roots went to a social night at Llandudno Juntion Labour Club. for a night out.The artist was Colin Fido and it was a good night, he sang songs to old and new dances there was both single and partner dancers on the dance floor here are some of the pictures.

New Dances Coming Thick And Fast

Hello everyone we have more new dances this week, one I really do like. The music is lovely and the dance flows, it's called Waiting Tables see below for all videos and dance sheets. Another dance we did this week was It Takes All Kinds a nice easy beginner dance, it looks like it will fit a lot of other songs, you know the type when the dance floor is empty just try this out. The other dance was Hinged another beginner dance.
